CMLO ensures that all foods and consumables labeled Certified Meatless – Lenten Observance is devoid of all slaughtered landed meat and their by-products. Our assurances also include the inspection of manufacturing facilities to determine that meat and meat by-products are not used in the production of said foods and that these products do not contaminate the equipment and packaging used to produce CMLO foods in these premises. 

CMLO analysts examine the composition of the foods and their ingredients.  Only after the inspection of the foods or consumables and their production facilities are completed will Certified Meatless allow the applicant the seal of CMLO certification.
